SIGPRO Premium Review -- best suited for Best overall — poly spacer, #1 MyGolfSpy rating. Available for ~$299–$699. Skip it if need custom sizing — use carl's place.

The SIGPRO Premium is the best-performing impact screen tested by MyGolfSpy in independent head-to-head testing — outperforming the previous market leader on durability, image quality, noise, and bounce-back. Shop Indoor Golf developed it in-house with one of the leading mills in the industry, and the poly spacer construction it uses has since become the standard for premium impact screens. If you're building a serious simulator and want the most reliable screen available, this is the default recommendation.

Who should buy this

Buy this if

  • You want the #1 rated screen from independent testing
  • You're building a permanent bay with a projector
  • You use the simulator frequently — daily or near-daily
  • You want 4K-compatible projection quality
  • You play in a bright room and want the gray (Premier) version

Skip this if

  • You only need a practice net without projection
  • Budget is the primary constraint — GoSports covers basic use for less
  • You need custom sizing — SIGPRO comes in standard sizes only

Plain English verdict

The SIGPRO Premium earns its #1 ranking. The poly spacer construction genuinely performs differently from single-layer screens — impact noise is noticeably quieter, bounce-back is controlled at correct tension, and the smooth surface produces a sharp 4K image that single-layer screens can't match. Real-world durability is exceptional: documented cases of the screen lasting 5,000+ shots without visible wear in the strike zone are common in the community.

The SIGPRO Premier is the same screen in gray. For garage builds or any room with overhead lighting, the Premier is worth the minor additional cost — the contrast improvement in ambient light is real and noticeable. For dark dedicated rooms, the original white Premium is fine.

The main limitation is standard sizing — SIGPRO screens come in fixed dimensions. If your room requires a non-standard size, Carl's Place's custom options are the alternative.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between SIGPRO Premium and SIGPRO Premier?
Same poly spacer construction, different colour. Premium is white — best for dark rooms with full light control. Premier is gray — best for garages, basements with windows, or any room where overhead lighting is on during play. The gray absorbs ambient light, maintaining deeper blacks and better contrast where white would wash out.
Will it fit my non-SIG enclosure?
Yes — SIGPRO screens have standard grommets that work with any enclosure frame using bungee cord attachment. The velcro perimeter is specifically for SIG enclosure compatibility but doesn't prevent use with other frames. Confirm screen dimensions against your enclosure's screen opening before ordering.
How do I attach it for correct tension?
Use 6-inch ball bungees through the grommets — not rigid zip ties. The screen should give 4–6 inches at the centre when pressed. Leave the bottom either unattached or loosely attached so the screen can deflect downward on impact. See our full installation guide for step-by-step tension setup.
Is memory foam behind the screen recommended?
No — and SIGPRO specifically warns against this. Memory foam or blankets touching the screen concentrate impact force at the point of contact rather than distributing it across the screen surface, which causes premature wear. If you want backing, leave an air gap of at least 6 inches between the screen and any backing material.
